Tusker coach Robert Matano termed the lose as daytime robbery after his side was denied a goal and a penalty appeal

Gor Mahia head coach Hassan Oktay says he told his players to be patient against Tusker on Wednesday in the Kenyan Premier League match.

The defending champions needed a Nicholas Kipkirui strike to bag maximum points at the expense of the Brewers, who will have themselves to blame for missing several chances.

Oktay is happy with the general output of his players ahead of Sunday's assignment against Na Hussein Dey in Algeria.

"I told my players to continue pushing as they did in the first half, and that goals will come; be it two, three or four. I am happy that in the end, it happened, it was tough but we got it at last.

"Playing beautiful football makes fans happy and it is good when you make your fans happy, it gives them the energy to support you throughout the game and that motivates you."

Gor Mahia will now turn the attention to Sunday's Caf Confederation Cup in Group D knowing that a draw or win away will be vital.
