Swansea City striker Jordan Ayew believes Saturday's hard-fought Premier League triumph over Watford is proof of his side's resilience.
Having fallen behind as early as the 11th minute when Andre Carrillo put The Hornets in the lead, the Swans threw in a late fight to turn the final score 2-1 in their favour.
Jordan fetched the equaliser four minutes to full-time before Luciano Narsingh netted the winner in stopped time.
“It was a massive goal to get us back in the game,’’ Jordan said, as reported by his club's official website.
“Oli [McBurnie] did a fantastic job with the assist and thankfully I was in the right place to put it into the net.
“This is a game that proves you can never give up – you have to keep fighting right to the end.
“The whole team deserves huge congratulations. It was a team performance and a team win.’’
Saturday's win is certainly a big boost for the bottom-placed Swans following Tuesday's 5-0 humiliation at the hands of Liverpool.
“I think this win is a step forward,” Jordan added.
“Now we have to keep going and push to get more results.
“Football is all about confidence. We know we can do better things with confidence.
“But, also, if you don’t work hard then you get punished. But at Watford we worked very hard and got our rewards.
“The new manager has only been here for two days, but he has had a positive impact. His ideas are clear and direct. He wants us to run more in the game and be more aggressive with our play.
“I think we delivered that – and deserved the win.
“Tottenham is a big game for us on Tuesday, but we have nothing to lose. We have to keep running and fighting and playing the Swansea way.”
Jordan will be on the search for his fourth strike of the league season by midweek.
