EXTRA TIME: Mohamed Salah links up with Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard

Following a record breaking weekend in the English Premier League, the 25-year-old attacker acquainted himself with the Reds legend

Liverpool star Mohamed Salah took time out to meet former England and Liverpool midfielder Steven Gerrard at the club's Melwood training ground.

Since his arrival from Roma last summer, Salah has notched 40 goals in 45 games in all competitions for the Reds. He became the first African player to score 30 Premier League goals in a season with his effort in Liverpool's 2-0 win over AFC Bournemouth on Saturday.

After eclipsing Gerrard's club record of seven Champions League goals in a season last Tuesday against Manchester City, the Egypt international shared a picture of him sharing pleasantries with the Liverpool u18 coach.
