The former goalkeeper has stated on Twitter that he's not as fit as he used to be, but he managed to make it all the way to the top of one of the world's natural wonders, Table Mountain in Cape Town.
Van der Sar is in the country to help open the Lambda institute for talented Ajax Cape Town players. You can see photos of him posing with a view of Cape Town below and visiting Langa township.
It was quite a hike but walking up to Table Mountain was definitely an unbelievable experience yesterday in Capetown. Not as fit anymore but happy to reached the top within 1,5 hour and enjoyed the great views. pic.twitter.com/dNURmckgmp— Edwin van der Sar (@vdsar1970) November 26, 2018
