Dogo optimistic of Nasarawa United's chances vs. Plateau United

Nasarawa United coach Kabiru Dogo is optimistic that they will start the 2017-18 Nigeria Professional Football League season with a win over reigning champions, Plateau United.

The Solid Miners welcome the Peace Boys to the Lafia Stadium on Sunday in their first game of the season, and the gaffer is upbeat about their chances.

“I can say that we are ready. The management is now doing its best to ensure that we start the season on a good note,” Dogo told Goal.

“We know that Plateau United are the league defending champions and that they have signed some quality players because of their participation in the CAF Champions League.

"We also have the players to get the job done and we are hopeful of getting a good beginning to the season before our fans.”
