Aduana v AsecGoal Ghana

Commey blames Kenichi for Aduana's defeat to Asec Mimosas

Aduana Stars chief executive officer Albert Commey has blamed coach Kenichi Yatsuhashi for ending the club's unbeaten run at home following their 2-0 defeat to Asec Mimosas in the Caf Confederation Cup Group A fixture on Sunday.

Although, the Fire Club missed several top stars due to injuries and suspension, Commey has been very critical of the Japanese coach and believes he had his tactics wrong in the game.

"I think that the team did not gel well in the game against Asec Mimosas and it was because of several reasons," Commey was quoted as saying by FootballGhana.

"I have issues with the coach’s 4-1-4-1 system and tactics that he played against Asec. If you are playing at home with this tactics, I think it is more of a defensive than attacking. Yesterday, I asked those questions but he is the coach and he decided to go by those tactics."

"For me, I have to be very honest and praise Asec. In the first leg, we [Aduana] dominated them but they scored one goal. Little did I know that they will come and continue what they did here by scoring two early goals to unsettle us," he added.

Aduana are currently languishing at the bottom in the group with four points. They will travel to Morocco to face Raja Casablanca in the last round of matches.
