Cedric Bakambu rescues point for Beijing Guoan

Cedric Bakambu was on target as Beijing Guoan held Chongqing Dangdai Lifan to a 3-3 draw in Sunday’s league fixture.

The DR Congo international registered his second effort in his third appearance for Roger Schmidt’s side.

Fernandinho Silva and Peng Xinli put the hosts ahead early in the game but Renato August halved the deficit for Beijing Guoan in the 10th minute.

Nine minutes later, Alan Kardec extended Chongqing's lead. Piao Cheng responded with the visitors' second in the 29th minute.

After the restart, Bakambu ensured the Imperial Guards extended their unbeaten run with his 50th-minute equaliser.

The former Villarreal man was replaced with Wang Ziming in the 90th minute as his side settled for their second successive draw in the league.

Beijing Guoan remain unmoved in fourth place with 11 points from six games. They visit Guangzhou Evergrande for their next outing on April 22.
