Caf Confederation Cup Group B preview: RSB Berkane, Al Masry battle for top spot

RSB Berkane and Al Masry will be battling to finish as Group B leaders as they prepare for their respective matches against UD Songo and Al Hilal.

Songo and Al Hilal are already out of the tournament and will just be playing to save their faces and both will be away.

At the Stade Municipal de Berkane, leaders RSB Berkane will host Songo who they beat 2-0 in the reverse fixture away in Mozambique.

With 10 points, one ahead of second-placed Al Masry, a win for Berkane will assure them of top spot at the end of this last round group matches.

Songo are winless in this campaign and have three points, all from draws in their last three matches against Al Masry and Al Hilal twice.

The trip to Morocco is of not much significance for Songo, with any result not affecting them, although a win will salvage some pride for them.

Elsewhere in Port Said, Al Masry will also know that victory over Sudanese giants Al Hilal will boost their chances of ending this group campaign at the top.

But the Egyptians will have to pray for Berkane to draw or lose to Songo if they are to finish as Group B leaders.

Al Masry are yet to lose a match in this group and ending this group phrase without defeat will boost their confidence going into the quarter-finals.
