Messi leads the way in the scorer markets, but it is another member of the 'MSN' who boasts the best scoring record in games against the French side

A headline two days ago in one of Spain's best selling sports papers read "Messi is Emery's nightmare" and it is quite likely that Paris Saint-Germain's Spanish manager will have been losing some sleep over the Argentine in the run up to this game.

As the former manager of Almeria, Valencia, Sevilla and Spartak Moscow, Emery has come up against Messi on 21 occasions during which time Barca's number 10 has netted 25 goals.

Indeed, Emery as a coach has faced against Barcelona 23 times in his career and has recorded just one win, and that was in a game where Messi did not feature. The bad news for PSG and their manager is that the proflic frontman will be starting the match at the Parc des Princes and Betfair offer him as the shorest priced player to score at  1/10 (2.10).

With Messi leading the scoring charts in this season's competition with 10 goals in six games the price for him to find the back of the net should appeal, particularly with PSG missing their best defender in Thiago Silva.

Messi has netted three times in the six Champions League matches that these two sides have contested over the last four years, although the player with the best record in this fixture is Neymar. The Brazil inyternational has scored five times against the Parisians finding the back of the net in each of their last four matches, and while this season he has been more prolific with his assists than goals, the price of 2/1 (3.00) for him to get on the scoresheet looks tempting.

Elsewhere for Barca, La Liga's top scorer Luis Suarez is offered at 6/5 (2.20) to add to the two Champions League goals he's scored this season, while Ivan Rakitic can be backed at 4/1 (5.00) to net his first goal in the tournament this term.

Messi is the top scorer in the current edition of the Champions League, but Edinson Cavani is his closet challenger on six strikes, and the Uruguayan has been thriving this season following the departure of Zlatan Ibrahimovic. Added to his six goals in Europe are 25 strikes in Ligue 1 making him the French top flight's most deadly marksman and Cavani is offered at 11/8 (2.38) to find the back of the net against Barca.

The only other players to have scored more than once for PSG in Europe this season are Angel Di Maria and Blaise Matuidi who have both netted twice. The Argentina international has experience of scoring against Barcelona having netted in a Copa Del Rey final against them during his time with Real Madrid and is priced at 7/2 (4.50) to score while is Matuidi offered at 4/1 (5.00)
