Benjamin Moukandjo was on target as Beijing Renhe defeated Guangzhou Evergrande 2-0 in Sunday’s Chinese Super League game.
The Cameroon international opened the scoring at the Beijing Fengtai Stadium with his ninth-minute effort.
Six minutes later, Augusto Fernandez doubled the lead for the hosts as the Guangzhou outfit struggled to find the back of the net.
Moukandjo lasted for 33 minutes before he was replaced by Ependi Nizamdin.
The 29-year-old who joined Luis Garcia’s side from Jiangsu Suning in February, has bagged two goals in seven league games this season.
Beijing Renhe are placed ninth in the Chinese top-flight standings with 15 points from 11 games. They play Jiangsu Suning when the Chinese Super League resume on July 17.
