Bakgaga look to snap their winless run against the Buccaneers, who have their sights set on the PSL summit

Baroka FC will play host to Orlando Pirates in a Premier Soccer League (PSL) match at the Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane on Saturday.

Bakgaga saw their winless run in the league extended when they succumbed to a 1-0 defeat to Chippa United away in their previous game last weekend.

The defeat left the Ga-Mphahlele side placed 13th on the league standings having accumulated five points from six matches. They are three points above the relegation spot.

Pressure is mounting on Zambian coach Wedson Nyirenda with Baroka having recorded two draws and two defeats in their last four games.

The former Kaizer Chiefs striker will be eager to mastermind a victory which would see Bakgaka move further away from the relegation zone.

The 2015/16 National First Division (NFD) champions will look to Talent Chawapiwa, who has the ability to inspire Baroka to victory against Bucs.

Baroka have been boosted by the fact that they do not have any suspension worries.

Meanwhile, Pirates are undefeated in their last three league games having drawn 2-2 with SuperSport United at home in midweek.

The draw took the Buccaneers to third place on the league standings having collected 11 points from seven games. They are two points behind log leaders Bidvest Wits.

Pirates will be motivated by the fact that Wits dropped points against Polokwane City at home on Friday.

Milutin Sredojevic, Orlando Pirates, August 2018

Serbian tactician Milutin 'Micho' Sredojevic will look to lead Bucs to victory over Bakgaga which would see the Soweto giants move to the top of the league standings.

Augustine Mulenga has established himself as Pirates' first-choice striker having scored against Cape Town City in midweek and the Zambian forward will look to net again and help his side overcome Baroka.

The Buccaneers will welcome back Thamsanqa Gabuza, who has completed his two-game suspension.

In head-to-head stats, Baroka and Pirates have clashed in four league matches since 2016.

Bucs are unbeaten against Bakgaga having recorded one win and three draws in the sequence.
