Baroka FC sign Lewis Macha from Kaizer Chiefs

Goal can confirm that former Kaizer Chiefs striker Lewis Macha has signed a two-year deal with Baroka FC.

The Zambian-born forward parted ways with Amakhosi after being deemed surplus to requirements by coach Steve Komphela.

Baroka wasted no time in offering the lanky forward a contract as they aim to avoid the repeat of last season's disappointment.

Michael Ngobeni, who represents Macha, confirmed to Goal that the former Ferroviário man put pen to paper with the Polokwane-based outfit.

"Macha has signed for Baroka. It's a two-year deal," Ngobeni told Goal

Macha had an unsuccessful first year in the PSL, making a mere eight appearances in all official competitions without finding the back of the net.

He will be eager to revive his career at Baroka, who recently came back from the play-offs after finishing 15th on the PSL log last season.
