Bandari next on line as AFC Leopards target top-three finish

AFC Leopards head coach Rodolfo Zapata is aiming at a top-three finish this season even as he continues with the rebuilding process at the Den in readiness for next season.

The Argentine, who took over from Tanzanian Dennis Kitambi, has expressed optimism about the future of his side ahead of the Sunday’s Kenyan Premier League match against Bandari.

"We want to give our best in the remaining matches. Still, we have an opportunity of challenging for the title, and we will push to the end.

"However, our main aim is a top three finish, it is a realistic target that we can achieve, it is all about consistency.

"It will be an exciting match against Bandari, but we are ready; it is all about taking chances."

The match will be staged at Kenyatta Stadium, Machakos.

AFC Leopards are currently fourth on the log and with 35 points, 14 points adrift of leaders Gor Mahia.
