The Gunners' legend has underlined the importance of the forward and has tasked his to start getting the goals

Sol Campbell has admitted Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is vital to Arsenal’s quest of finishing in the top four, and has urged him to keep scoring.

The 29-year-old got his first goal of the season in the Gunners’ 3-2 triumph over Cardiff at the Cardiff City Stadium.

As it stands, the Gunners are ninth in the English topflight log with six points after four matches - six points behind leaders Liverpool.

And Campbell disclosed that the Gabon international must be at his best if the north Londoners are keen on challenging for a top-four finish at the end of the season.

“Aubameyang, I know he’s from last season,” he said.

“But I think from the start of this season, I think it would be good for him to get off running and get on to his scoring abilities.
