Andre Ayew scores in West Ham’s draw against Altonaer

Andre Ayew was on target in West Ham’s 3-3 draw with Altonaer 93 in a pre-season friendly game on Tuesday.

Nick Brisevac got the game's first goal for the hosts in the 5th minute but parity was restored a minute later by Adolfo Martinez.

Dennis Thiessen put the German non-league side ahead in the 39th minute before Weiston Reid received his marching orders for dissent, his second bookable offence of the game before the halftime interval.

Ayew drew the London Stadium club side level just nine minutes after the restart but Darius Strode put Berkan Algan’s side ahead four minutes later.

An own goal by South African goalkeeper Joshua du Preez in the 73rd minute saved the blushes of ten man West Ham.

Slaven Bilic's side will face Pep Guardiola's Manchester City in Reykjavik Iceland on Friday.
