Akwa United focused on turning table around against Al-Hilal - Gabriel Okechukwu

Gabriel Okechukwu has assured that Akwa United will put up an outstanding display to turn the table around against Al-Hilal at the Goodwill Akpabio Stadium on Wednesday.

The Promise Keepers are smarting from their 2-0 defeat at Rivers United but look to put that behind them as they battle to keep their Caf Confederation Cup glory dreams alive.

Despite losing 2-0 at the Al-Hilal Stadium in Omorudun, the forward insists they are well motivated for the encounter as he assures his side's readiness to make history for the club.

"The whole team is ready and we all know the task at hand and what is at stake," Okechukwu told Goal.

"We are very focus on turning the table around against Al-Hilal. The management already motivated us for the match and the rest is now left in our hands to help the club qualify.

"We are going to approach the game with full confidence and all seriousness. We have fully understood the instructions our coaches have given us.

"We hope to execute the tactics and game plan set for us and hopefully we can come out victorious. All we need is the support of the fans and prayers for us to have a favourable result."

The Super Eagles man will be hoping his side score three unreplied goals to book their place in the group stages of the Africa’s second-tier club competition for the first time this year.
