Akwa United aim to confirm supremacy over Enyimba - Gabriel Wassa

Akwa United will lock horns in a battle for domestic supremacy against Enyimba on Sunday and Gabriel Wassa has revealed his team's mission against the hosts at the UJ Esuene Stadium.

Going into the encounter, the Promise Keepers will have in mind that they are winless at the People's Elephants ground in last eight visits despite securing two draws.

"This is no doubt the biggest match of the weekend and I'm happy it will also be on TV," Wassa told Goal.

"We have been facing some challenges recently but I think that this is an opportunity for us to prove ourselves against one of the best teams in our [Nigerian] league.

"We believe we have what it takes and even boast of more quality players than them [Enyimba]. So nothing should stop us from winning in Calabar.

"We have to focus on challenging for the league title and can make a difference this time by defeating them in front of their own fans. It is possible and we are fully prepared for them."
