Agosto assistant coach Ivo Traca not afraid of Esperance in Champions League

The Angolan giants head into the Champions League semifinal, second leg tie against Esperance leading 1-0 following a home win in the reverse fixture

Primeiro Agosto assistant coach Ivo Traca says they would not be intimidated by Esperance whom they clash with in Rades on Tuesday.

Wounded Esperance lost the first leg in Luanda earlier this month, and are seeking to overturn the encounter in their favour.

Playing at their Stade Olympique de Rades where 40 000 fans have been allowed to attend the match by Tunisian security authorities, Esperance would likely to be on fire when enjoying home advantage.

But Traca is aware of the advantage Esperance could be enjoying and believes that they would not be intimidated by their opponents.

"We worked hard and the team is doing well. We are travelling with the aim to play a fine game and winning the tie. Despite being strong and playing in their stronghold, we respect and we are not afraid of the host team,” Traca told the Angola Press Agency.

In-form Agosto forward Geraldo is expected to be the star man for the Angolans who also have DR Congolese striker Mongo Bokamba enjoying a fine season in Africa.

Esperance would be missing suspended defender Khalil Chemmam who was red-carded in the first leg away in Luanda.
