Maldives' New Radiant SC kept their advantage atop Group E with a 5-1 win on Wednesday.
The star of the night for the Maldives side was their 29-year-old attacking midfielder Ali Fasir who was in sensational form during the game, scoring three of the five goals New Radiant scored.
Fasir opened the scoring for New Radiant with a penalty in the 19th minute before Abahani equalised. But Fasir came up with two goals to complete his hat-trick and put his side firmly in the driving seat.
He played 77 minutes for New Radiant and tallied four shots on target. He completed 78% of his passes and won 33% of his duels.
Ultimately, his performances have powered New Radiant to an important win and Faris is rightly named as Goal's Asian Player of the Week!
