Katsina United win 2016 Nigeria National League Super Four title

Bala Nkiyu's side edged ABS FC on penalites to clinch Nigeria's second division league title in Gombe

Kastina United emerged as the winners of this year's Nigeria National League Super Four tournament after defeating ABS FC 4-2 on penalties in Gombe on Thursday night.

Bidemi Abdulwahab's 66th minute goal brought Bala Nkiyu's men levelled to keep their title hopes alive after finding themselves struggling for most part of the game.

However, Remo Stars finished in the third place after seeing off host Gombe United 3-1 via penalties, after settling for a 1-1 draw at the end of the regular time.

Gombe United's Chidera Ejike was crowned the tournament's most valuable player.
