John Obuh named Kwara United head coach

In their bid to return to the Nigeria topflight after their relegation, the Kwara State government has appointed the former Flying Eagles' handler to handle the Harmony Boys

Kwara state government has confirmed the appointment of John Obuh as head coach of Kwara United.

The former Flying Eagles gaffer was hired to ensure that the Harmony Boys return to the Nigeria Professional Football League after their relegation at the end of last season. He helped the team secure a place in the Nigeria elite division in 2009

Kwara United started last season very brightly but internal strife and lack of unity between the technical crew and the management of the Ilorin side later ended the club’s quest for honours after a season.

Also, Prince Thompson Oladimeji was appointed as new Chairman of the team and will work with new set of faces after the government fired their former crew.

Kwara United finished 18th on the log with 42 points from 38 matches.
