Enugu Rangers sack coach Kelechi Emeteole

Enugu Rangers have sacked coach Kelechi Emeteole after a run of five games with just one defeat.

The club's board of directors met on Wednesday and concluded to send the former Heartland handler packing which according to media officer Foster Chime ‘was in the interest of the club’.

Emeteole becomes the second coach to be fired in the Nigeria topflight this season after Zachary Baraje lost his job with Akwa United.

Coach Imama Amakpakabo will take charge of the team with immediate effect – and begins his duty in a Week 11 encounter against Kwara United on June 14, 2015.

The Enugu based outfit are 11th on the NPFL log with 11 points from 10 games.
