Mfon Udoh jumps to top of NPFL scorers' chart with brace against Sharks

The all-time leading goalscorer climbed to top spot with four goals in five matches after netting twice in Enyimba's hard fought home victory against Sharks on Sunday

Enyimba striker Mfon Udoh has began the race to smash his all-time goals record with his third and fourth goals of the season.

He got on the score sheet during his side's narrow 3-2 home win against Sharks in a Week Six match played at the Enyimba international Stadium on Sunday.

The 22-year-old star zoomed to the top of the scorers' chart after he netted in each half to ensure the People's Elephant ground out the all-important home victory against visiting Gbenga Ogunbote's men.

Udoh capitalised on the visitors' defensive errors to grab his brace in the 23rd and 68th minutes to make it four goals in his fifth straight appearance for Enyimba.

The former Akwa United striker - who scored 16 goals for the Promise Keepers in 2013 before joining Enyimba where he bagged a record 23 goals - looks set to smash his personal record.

Enyimba are second on the log with 11 points from six games. They are tied with leaders Giwa though seperated by a goal.
