The former Akwa United forward scored twice to increase his goal record as the People's Elephants earned a home victory against the league champions on Sunday

Enyimba forward Mfon Udoh netted a brace in Enyimba 3-1 win over title winners Kano Pillars at the Enyimba International Stadium to raise his all-time league goals record to 23 on Sunday.

Udoh, smashed the all-time goal record of 20 set by Jude Aneke in 2010 after he scored his 21st goal of the season during his side's 1-1 draw with Dolphins at the Liberation Stadium last Sunday.

The 22-year-old gave the hosts the lead in the 18th minute with a long range effort from the edge into the top right corner of Kano Pillars goalkeeper Theophilus Afelokhai.

The former Akwa United attacker grabbed his second of the day on the brink of half time after he stomach home the ball taking advantage of the visitors' defensive error.

The Akwa Ibom-born star, who scored 15 goals last season for the Promise Keepers before he joined Enyimba, has scored a total of 25 goals in all competition for Enyimba including two goals in the Federation Cup.

Udoh still hold a chance to increase his individual goal tally this season in the Federation Cup final when Enyimba seek their third title in a row against Dolphins, who denied them a victory in Port Harcourt to wrestle the league title out of the hands of Kano Pillars.
