Former Kaduna United striker Alhaji Gero says he is excited with his first goal for his new club, Enugu Rangers.
Gero moved to the Enugu team during the mid-season transfer window and scored on his debut for against Akwa United last weekend in Uyo. He noted that he has started well and will end the season well.
"I am happy that in my first game for my new club. I trained very well and also scored a couple of goals in all the friendly matches,” said Gero.
"So when I was selected to start the game against Akwa United, I told myself that this is the time to repay the confidence reposed in me by the management of Rangers.
"The goal gave me a feeling of satisfaction because it will keep me in good mood for the mid-week game against Wikki Tourists in Bauchi.
"I am ready to give my best to Rangers and in that game against Wikki, we are going to do our best to make sure that we get a good result.
"It is a task that we can achieve and I am ready to contribute my quota to making sure that we don’t lose in Bauchi. I have scored my first goal and many more goals will come for me with the cooperation of my colleagues.
"Rangers is a good club and there is this enabling environment for players to do their best. I hope everything will work well for us because we have the capabilities to win the Premier League title," he boasted.
Rangers are second on the league table with 33 points from 20 matches.
