Key Players - Bartholomew Ogbeche, Fernando Gallego

Mumbai City FC will be desperate to get back to the winning track after succumbing to successive losses against FC Goa and Jamshedpur FC respectively.

Jorge Costa must return to the basics as his experiments of using Anwar Ali as a centre back and Matias Mirabaje as part of the front three didn’t work against Jamshedpur FC. His team has now had two shots to breach the 30-point mark but failed on both occassions and any further slip up would only complicate matters for Mumbai in a competitive top-four race.

They are still second on the table with 27 points but now at the business end of the league, they cannot afford to let points slip by again.

With Lucian Goian suspended, Marko Klisura will have to take responsibility at the back as Bartholomew Ogbeche and Fernando Gallego are tough customers to deal with. Subhasish Bose was rested in the game against Jamshedpur and the left-back is expected to be back on Wednesday.

Sehnaj Singh, at the centre of the park, is expected to make it difficult for the likes of Rowllin Borges and Co.

NorthEast, on the other hand, have tailed off a bit after making a strong start to the season. They have only one win in their last seven games which should be a concern for Eelco Schattorie.

Their dependence on Ogbeche and Gallego is an open secret and after the break, the opponents have looked much more prepared to contain the duo. The likes of Redeem Tlang and Panagiotis Triadis must step up their game to ably support their teammates up front.

T P Rehenesh might be relegated to the bench after his mistake led to the opener against Delhi Dynamos in their previous match.

An exciting encounter is on the cards as both teams can ill afford a slip at this crucial stage of the league. If the Highlanders win, then they will go level with their opponents with 27 points but another loss will certainly throw open the race for the fourth spot with Jamshedpur FC and ATK close on their heels.
