Commentary

Palace and Brentford share the spoils, then, but it's the visitors who'll go home the happier of the two sides. That's all for now. Goodbye!
The draw means both teams rise in the Premier League table for now, Brentford to ninth and Palace to 13th. Brentford will of course be pleased with the result, but Palace will be gutted not to have won this. They've dropped seven points from winning positions already this season. Vieira will want his men to tighten up.
This London derby ends in a score draw! After a slow start, it looked like the match would be decided by Zaha's moment of brilliance around the hour mark. Brentford had other ideas, making some proactive changes and equalising late on through their substitute Wissa. The Bees could even have grabbed all three points had Mee's injury-time header not hit the woodwork.
90' + 6' FULL-TIME: CRYSTAL PALACE 1-1 BRENTFORD
C. Doucouré
Yellow Card
Crystal Palace
90' + 5' Doucoure picks up a late booking for a poor challenge on Onyeka. There's no time for Brentford to do much with the free-kick though. That's that!
90' + 4' Brentford nearly steal the win at the death! Guaita gets down low to stop Henry's shot from finding the bottom left corner. Frank's men get a corner instead. It comes in and Mee's header crashes against the corner of post and bar! Palace would have been devastated had that gone in. Instead, they hook the ball away and breathe a huge sigh of relief.
90' + 2' Worryingly for Palace, the momentum of the game is swinging Brentford's way. If one team's going to find a victory here, it seems more likely to be them.
90' There'll be five more minutes of this. That's enough time for either team to find a winner if they want to!
89' Brentford's excellent record of scoring late goals continues. They've scored three goals in the last 15 minutes of games so far this season. Only Liverpool have scored more. To their credit, they don't give up.
V. Janelt
Assist
Brentford
88' After a quick VAR check, the goal stands! It's just as well too, as Janelt's ball in for Wissa was a peach. Out of nothing, Brentford may have snatched an unlikely draw!
Y. Wissa
Goal
Brentford
88' GOAL! CRYSTAL PALACE 1-1 BRENTFORD! Famous last words! Janelt curls a fantastic cross into the path of Wissa, who powers a header past Guaita! The goal's being checked for offside...
86' Brentford are trying their best but a comeback does not feel likely at this stage. Frank's men have been muted.
84' Zaha powers in from the right onto Ayew's header down and blasts a left-footed effort into the stands.
I. Toney
Yellow Card
Brentford
83' Toney tries to capitalise on Andersen's loose touch but ends up scything the Palace centre-back down. A yellow card is his reward.
82' Guaita claims Ghoddos' whipped cross from the right. Brentford are pushing more players forward now.
T. Mitchell
M. Olise
Crystal Palace
80' Palace use their last substitution window to bring on Mitchell for Olise.
S. Ghoddos
A. Hickey
Brentford
79' Hickey, who was beaten for Zaha's goal, is next off. Ghoddos ventures on for Brentford.
Y. Wissa
M. Jensen
Brentford
79' Brentford make some more changes. Jensen goes off. Wissa comes on.
77' Andersen hands Brentford a corner. Palace can't clear it immediately, Toney has a header blocked, and Mee lashes wide with an aerial kick. Palace can't afford to switch off yet.
J. Ayew
E. Eze
Crystal Palace
76' Eze gets the last 15 minutes off too. On comes Ayew for Palace.
L. Milivojević
J. Schlupp
Crystal Palace
76' Palace substitution. Milivojevic comes on to shore up the hosts' midfield. Schlupp makes way.
75' Olise, who's moved to the left for now, skips inside from the flank and fires wide of the far post. Brentford have struggled with the trickery of Palace's two wingers.
73' Zaha twists down Palace's right and crosses from the byline. Henry blocks it to concede a corner. Palace turn it into another corner off Toney. Brentford manage to ride the pressure out.
A. Hickey
Yellow Card
Brentford
71' Hickey's shown the game's first yellow card for a tactical foul on Zaha, who's started to run the show for Palace.
70' Brentford are showing some small improvement already. Dasilva's left-footed shot from the right of the box is straight at Guaita.
F. Onyeka
B. Mbeumo
Brentford
68' Last off in this raft of Brentford changes is Mbeumo. Onyeka replaces him.
J. Dasilva
K. Lewis-Potter
Brentford
68' Lewis-Potter is next to go. On comes Dasilva for Brentford.
M. Damsgaard
S. Baptiste
Brentford
68' It's a triple change that Brentford make. Baptiste is first to get the hook. Damsgaard is his replacement.
67' Brentford are preparing changes. The visitors definitely need some inspiration from the bench. They're looking short of ideas.
65' Mbuemo dribbles down the right but has precious little support from his team-mates. Brentford manage to keep the ball until Jensen's cross bounces out of play.
63' Zaha causes Hickey more problems but this time only succeeds in fouling the Brentford right-back.
61' That's Zaha's fourth goal of the campaign. He's scored in each of his last three Premier League games now. He's started the season in fine form.
C. Doucouré
Assist
Crystal Palace
60' Doucoure played a big part in that goal by propelling Palace upfield. Palace have been the better team, and now Zaha has made the scoreline reflect that!
W. Zaha
Goal
Crystal Palace
59' GOAL! CRYSTAL PALACE 1-0 BRENTFORD! Zaha receives the ball from Doucoure just outside the box and it looks like nothing's on. The Ivorian knows better, though, taking a tiny touch onto his right foot to beat Hickey and curling into the far top corner of the net.
58' Olise holds off Henry in his own half and earns a foul to ease the pressure on Palace.
56' Olise attempts to repeat his trick from a few minutes ago, shooting once more from outside the box. This time, the 20-year-old can't keep his effort down.
O. Édouard
J. Mateta
Crystal Palace
54' Palace make the game's first substitution. Edouard replaces the quiet Mateta.
53' Brentofrd are having their moments but seem rusty. The visitors send a promising free-kick into Palace's box, but Toney can only scuff the ball wide on the volley.
51' Palace are getting closer! Olise skips inside and shoots left-footed towards the bottom left corner. The ball bounces off the bottom of the left-hand post and back into play.
50' Chance for Palace! Doucoure robs Jensen just outside the D and feeds Schlupp, who fires straight at Raya.
48' Palace have a corner. Brentford head it away at the first attempt. Palace look purposeful though.
46' Eze jinks into the box and lays the ball wide right for Olise, who he expects to be arriving alongside him. Olise's not on the same page though, and Brentford clear.
45' Palace get the second half started. It's as you were as the two teams go.
Brentford didn't get a shot on target in the first half. The Bees have now failed to score a first-half goal in three of their five Premier League games this season, a record only 'beaten' by West Ham United. Palace certainly looked the better side before half-time. Let's hope things liven up in the second half.
A fairly low-key first half comes to an end. Palace started slowly but gradually improved as the half went on, with Zaha having the best chance in the opening 45 minutes. Brentford's best chances so far have come from set-pieces. More to come!
45' + 1' HALF-TIME: CRYSTAL PALACE 0-0 BRENTFORD
45' Schlupp bundles over Jensen down Brentford's right. There'll be just one added minute in this first half.
44' Palace still look threatening. The hosts work the ball from one side to the other, presenting Zaha with a decent shooting opportunity to the left of the box. Brentford get a body in the way.
42' Ward hands Brentford another corner. Palace make short shrift of it.
40' Baptiste successfully sees off Zaha by buying a free-kick from the Palace man. Neither Brentford nor Palace are willing to budge at the moment.
38' Palace are growing in influence. Mateta spanks the ball into Zanka, who manages to slide and block on the edge of the box.
36' Clyne's attempted four tackles so far, more than any other player on either team. The Palace right wing-back has had his hands full.
34' There are half-chances at both ends. Toney gets on the end of Mbuemo's cross and fires wide. Zaha has a shot blocked from the centre of Brentford's box.
32' Now it's Palace's turn to win a corner. Eze's delivery is headed high and wide by Ward.
30' Brentford force another corner down their left. Mbuemo sends the ball into the middle and Zanka heads over from close range.
28' Olise receives a pass from Mateta and gives Raya a comfortable save to make low in the centre of his goal.
26' Eze is impeded by Jensen in his own half, bringing Brentford's attack to an end. Palace seem content to attack on the counter for now.
24' Hickey makes progress for Brentford down the right and is stopped unfairly by Mateta. Brentford eventually manage to get a cross into Palace's box, but it's cut out before it can cause too much trouble.
22' Jensen floats the free-kick towards the back post and it's nodded into the arms of Guaita.
20' Lewis-Potter's shot from distance is blocked. Brentford get a free-kick in a central position when Andersen brings down Toney.
18' Schlupp has a hopeful pop at Raya from distance. Brentford's goalkeeper is equal to the task, making an easy save.
16' It's safe to say this game hasn't caught alight yet. Brentford are just about shading possession.
14' Eze lets rip at goal from outside the box. It swerves well wide to the right and out for a Brentford goal-kick.
12' Brentford earn the first corner of the game down their left off Clyne. It's nothing that Palace can't handle.
10' Palace's free-kick magnet Zaha gets to work as he's brought down by Zanka, then Mbuemo.
8' Guaita plays a direct ball from the back for Zaha to latch onto, but the Ivorian is offside.
6' Jensen's throw-in is dealt with comfortably by Palace. This game's taking a while to get going.
5' Brentford earn a throw-in down their left. Their long-throw expert Jensen prepares to hurl it into the mixer.
3' Mee clears Clyne's high cross from the right easily. Brentford attempt to counter, but Palace are able to deal with the threat.
1' Brentford get this midweek match underway!
Home advantage is important in meetings between Palace and Brentford. The home side haven't lost any of their last seven league meetings, with both Premier League games between this pair last season ending goalless. Another 0-0 would make this fixture the first in English top-flight history to see the first three meetings at this level end 0-0. Let's hope that doesn't come to pass!
Brentford also start with three different players from their draw with Everton. In come Lewis-Potter, Baptiste and Janelt.
Patrick Vieira makes three changes to the Palace team that started the defeat to City. Zaha returns to the starting lineup. Olise and Mateta also come in.

Brentford picked up a 1-1 draw against Everton in their last match, returning to earth after their 4-0 thumping of Manchester United. The Bees have conceded in each of their last 18 games on the road, the longest current run in the division. Still, Thomas Frank's men will be hopeful of picking up their first away win of the season.
Palace welcome Brentford to South London for this midweek London derby with both sides enjoying solid starts to the season. The Eagles suffered a 4-2 away defeat to Manchester City last time out but have held their own against strong opposition. With their talisman Wilfried Zaha back from injury, they'll view this game as one they have a realistic chance of winning.
