FULL TIME - You simply wouldn't read about it!  The Wanderers seemingly had this match all wrapped up holding a two goal buffer as we entered injury time - but football can be a funny game.  Mikkelsen breathed life into the contest with a deadly strike off his left boot before a howler from Janjetovic gifted the Roar an opportunity with the very last play of the match.  Mikkelsen put the ball on a platter for Taggart and the Brisbane forward did the rest to salvage a point for the home side.  Full time, after an unbelievable conclusion:  Brisbane Roar 2 Western Sydney Wanderers 2.

85' And that just about sums about Brisbane's night - Henrique stands over the ball and takes the free kick just outside the area out to the left but somehow manages to send the ball spiralling away and over the sideline on the far side.

76' NO GOAL!  From point blank range, Wenzel-Halls fires into the roof of the net after pouncing on the parried save from an initial blistering strike by Taggart but the linesman's flag is up for offside - absolutely nothing going right for Brisbane this evening!

60' The odds are certainly stacked against the Brisbane Roar as we cross the hour mark - the home side have won just one of their last 15 A-League games when they've conceded multiple first-half goals.
57' Hamill goes to ground after being clipped on the back of the foot by D'Agostino - the referee is having none of it and, to rub further salt into the wound, the free kick will go against the Wanderers' skipper for handball!
J. Sotirio
K. Yeboah

54' SUBSTITUTION WANDERES - Kwame Yeboah is limping very heavily and his night is done - the first half goal-scorer will be replaced by Jaushua Sotirio.
53' With nothing on further upfield, Llorente has little option but to blaze away at goal - he succeeds only in lifting the ball into the stands.
50' De Vere drops the long pass into the area looking for the run of D'Agostino - the forward can't quite get there and the Wanderers' defence, somewhat unconvincingly, eventually manage to hack the ball clear of the danger zone.
49' Bonevacia allowed to switch one way and then the other before unloading from just outside the area - it's a reasonable effort but he has lifted the ball over the crossbar.
48' The good news for the Roar is that Taggart has rejoined the action after receiving treatment but he is not moving freely at all.
47' Injury concerns early in the second half for the Roar with Adam Taggart pulling up very sore in a contest with Jordan O'Doherty - he comes to the sidelines looking very proppy.
45' SECOND HALF - The Roar, facing a two goal deficit, kick off to begin the second half - are they up for the fight?
HALF TIME - An eventful first half in Brisbane comes to an end!  Roly Bonevacia put the Wanderers ahead just after the quarter hour on the back of a controversial VAR offside call, or should that be non-call, that will be the focus of much of the post-match discussions.  The Wanderers pressed home their advantage late in the first half with Yeboah depositing a rocket into the back of the net.  At half time:  Brisbane Roar 0 Western Sydney Wanderers 2.

45' + 2' Some space down the left hand side for the Roar however the floated ball from Caletti into the box clears the head of Ingham and straight into the outstretched arms of Janjetovic.
45' We will have four minutes of additional time played in this first half.
B. Kamau
Assist

42' GOAL WANDERERS!  The Wanderers go two up in Brisbane!  Kamau slides a deft ball into the path of Yeboah who has only one thing on his mind - the former Roar player turns his marker inside out before firing a right foot rocket past Jamie Young and into the back of the net.  Brisbane Roar 0 Western Sydney Wanderers 2.
39' The ball runs on for López who gets away a shot at goal however he has blasted the ball straight into a wall of Wanderers' defenders.
37' Dane Ingham is cornered into a tight angle near the goal line and his half-shot, half-cross effort rolls harmlessly into the waiting arms of Janjetovic.
35' With few options inside the box, Joe Caletti pulls the trigger from long range but his shot swings well wide and doesn't bother the goal of Janjetovic.
35' The good news for the Roar is that O'Toole is on his feet and ready to resume - he has passed a HIA though he looks groggy to say the least.
K. Yeboah
Yellow Card
Western Sydney Wanderers
31' YELLOW CARD WANDERERS - We have a lengthy break in play with O'Toole nastily sandwiched between the goal post and Yeboah in the scramble for the ball on the goal line - Yeboah is handed a card for his part in the incident that has left O'Toole requiring treatment for a knock to the side of the head.
31' Unmarked at the far post, Riera pokes a dangerous header right to the goal line - Yeboah is there for the Wanderers but Connor O'Toole is on hand for the Roar to remove the danger.
29' Kwame Yeboah tries to create something from just outside the area but he blasts his shot at goal high and wide of the mark - much to the delight of the parochial home crowd.
28' Brisbane knock the ball around just short of half way but so far in this first half have lacked any real imagination when transitioning into attack.
27' Kwame Yeboah drives the ball low and hard in from the left hand side - Bruce Kamau gets on the end of the cross but can't control it and the ball dribbles over the goal line.
23' Roly Bonevacia's goal continues a recent good run of form - the attacking midfielder has scored four goals from his last six shots on target in the A-League.
B. Hamill
Assist
Western Sydney Wanderers
19' It was Brendan Hamill who send the long pinpoint pass to set up the goal.  There's pleny of controversy in the aftermath with the replay showing a hint of offside - the VAR gives the all-clear but the Roar players, coaches and fans are venting their displeasure at the decision.
R. Bonevacia
Goal
Western Sydney Wanderers
18' GOAL WANDERERS!  The Wanderers strike first at Suncorp Stadium!  A long floating ball from short of half way isolates Roly Bonevacia who, all too easily, swings on to his right boot and rockets the shot past Jamie Young and into the bottom left corner of the net.  Brisbane Roar 0 Western Sydney Wanderers 1.
16' Brisbane's slow start in this first half follows a familiar theme - the Roar have scored the opener just twice this season, the fewest times of any team in the competition.
14' The corner from López takes a deflection off the boot of Daniel Bowles and into the safe arms of Janjetovic.
12' A disappointing first touch from Adam Taggart fortuitously falls for Nicholas D'Agostino who fires powerfully off the left boot - he has struck it well off his non-preferred foot however Janjetovic is able to dive to his left to make the save.
10' Álex López delivers a swinging free kick to the far post however the ball floats further than he intended which allows Vedran Janjetovic to stand strong and the keeper claims the high ball.
9' The Wanderers have had the best of the early exchanges with the play, so far, taking place almost exclusively inside the Roar's half.
6' Bruce Kamau looks to deliver in from the left hand side for the Wanderers however he has been well tracked by Luke De Vere who forces the ball over the goal line for a corner.
4' The chipped cross in from the left from Raúl Llorente falls at the feet of Oriol Riera who fires from the angle however he has blasted the shot into the side netting.
3' It's a balmy 26 degrees in Brisbane for the Friday night clash - the pitch looks to be a little patchy following a mid-week concert.
1' A half chance early for Jordan O'Doherty who has an optimistic pot shot from the edge of the area however he has dragged his effort away to the left.
1' FIRST HALF - The Wanderers kick off and we are underway in Brisbane!
The formalities are complete and we are just moments away from kick-off.
TEAMS - WESTERN SYDNEY WANDERERS (4-2-3-1) STARTING XI - Vedran Janjetovic (GK); Tate Russell, Brendan Hamill, Tarek Elrick, Raul Llorente; Jordan O'Doherty, Marc Tokich; Bruce Kamau, Kwame Yeboah, Roly Bonevacia; Oriol Riera. The team sheets are in so let's have a look at how the two sides will line up for this evening's clash.
It's been a similar struggle for Western Sydney who come into this match staring down the barrel of seven losses in a row.  They will take plenty of confidence however from their midweek clash  when they pushed in-form Melbourne City all the way only to be denied a point by a last-minute Bart Schenkeveld header.
Things could not be much worse for ninth-placed Brisbane whose only win of the season came all the way back in Round 5.  However, there have been some good signs of late for the Roar who have registered two draws from their past five matches.
Round 16 kicks off with a Friday night clash between two sides desperately needing a win to lift their flagging fortunes – it’s Brisbane Roar at home to the Western Sydney Wanderers.
