Commentary

Bayern keep the pace at the top then. As long as Flick's team can keep up their remarkable attacking output, it's hard to see how anyone will be able to overtake them. That's all for now. Goodbye!
Bayern's win takes them four points clear at the top of the Bundesliga table. It's a great result for them with RB Leipzig, Bayer Leverkusen and Borussia Dortmund all dropping points this weekend. Flawed as they may be, the champions are still the team to beat. Freiburg stay eighth.
Bayern get away with the three points from a game marked but not ruined by three players going off injured. As ever this season, Bayern were impressive going forward but looked vulnerable at the back. Freiburg briefly equalised through substitute Petersen and almost stole a point but for Petersen hitting the woodwork in added time.
90' + 4' FULL-TIME: BAYERN MUNICH 2-1 FREIBURG
90' + 4' Freiburg get one last chance as they force one more corner down their left off Pavard. Gunter swings it in and it bounces off a Freiburg player for a Bayern goal-kick. There's no time for Neuer to take it though as the referee blows his whistle!
90' + 2' Bayern are extremely fortunate as Petersen rattles the crossbar! The ball comes to Freiburg's goalscorer in the centre of the box and his eyes must be lighting up. Petersen's shot cannons off the underside of the bar and out as far as Hofler who fires wide.
E. Choupo-Moting
Yellow Card
Bayern München
90' Choupo-Moting brings down Tempelmann, giving away an ill-advised free-kick in dangerous territory down Freiburg's right. What can the visitors do with this? There will be four added minutes.
89' Sane slaloms past Gulde, leaving the Freiburg defender on the deck, and fires straight at Florian Muller. The Freiburg goalkeeper rises high to claim the ball in.
88' Bayern head away Freiburg's corner with ease. To their credit Freiburg aren't playing like they're down and out yet. They still believe they can score.
E. Choupo-Moting
T. Müller
Bayern München
87' Thomas Muller leaves the pitch with an assist and what is likely to be the winning goal. Not a bad outing for him. Choupo-Moting is on for him.
Javi Martínez
L. Goretzka
Bayern München
86' Before the corner's taken, Bayern make a few more changes to see the game out. Martinez replaces Goretzka.
85' Grifo picks Goretzka's pocket in midfield and tries to carry his team towards goal. The German-born Italian succeeds in winning Freiburg's second corner of the game.
84' Tolisso fizzes a shot towards goal from distance. It looks like it's flying wide but Florian Muller pushes it aside to make sure. Bayern wisely take this corner short and keep possession.
83' Who'd be a midfielder in this game? Goretzka takes a bang in the side from the challenging Hofler. It's a free-kick but nothing more.
82' Freiburg keep the ball for a while, shielding it from Bayern's pressers. Bayern eventually regain control from Florian Muller's punt forward.
81' It would be very surprising if Freiburg were to find a second equaliser. It doesn't feel like it's coming, but then neither did the first one.
80' Lewandowski and Schlotterbeck hit the turf from the corner but the referee isn't interested. The pair of opponents help each other up as play goes on. Bayern get another corner but that leads to nothing too.
78' Lewandowski is so close to sealing Bayern's victory! The Polish striker darts onto a throughball, shrugging off his marker to fire low across goal from the right-hand post. Florian Muller got a hand to it. It'll be a Bayern corner.
J. Musiala
K. Coman
Bayern München
76' The 17-year-old England U21 midfielder Musiala is also on for Coman.
C. Tolisso
J. Kimmich
Bayern München
76' Flick responds immediately by making substitutions for Bayern. Tolisso comes on for Kimmich.
L. Sané
Assist
Bayern München
74' Sane's awareness there was great. He knew he couldn't shoot himself so set Muller up to do so instead. It just might have secured the win for Bayern. They've still got to work to do though.
T. Müller
Goal
Bayern München
74' GOAL! BAYERN MUNICH 2-1 FREIBURG! Thomas Muller gives Bayern the lead again! Sane chests down a cross for Muller. Muller fires his shot into the ground and it bounces nicely into the far bottom corner.
72' Freiburg are still threatening sporadically as Bayern push to regain the lead. Grifo, who's not been too noticeable, heads wide from Gunter's cross. Neuer is quickly out of his goal to grab it.
70' You'd still fancy Bayern to steal the win late on but Freiburg are working extremely hard. Florian Muller comfortably claims Kimmich's low shot from range.
68' Kimmich's speculative effort from outside the box is blocked. Hofler powers upfield and has his own shot closed down.
66' Freiburg manage to see out Bayern's corner, the hosts' 10th of the game. Freiburg have only had one and they scored from it.
64' Bayern are playing with a righteous anger now. Goretzka receives a pass from Lewandowski in the box but is chased down by Tempelmann to stop him getting a clean shot away. Bayern get a corner out of it.
N. Höfler
Assist
Freiburg
63' Hofler's header on was vital in taking the ball into Petersen's path. Freiburg are back in this game! They just about deserve it for hanging on in there amidst all Bayern's dominance.
N. Petersen
Goal
Freiburg
63' GOAL! BAYERN MUNICH 1-1 FREIBURG! Petersen scores with his first touch! Hofler flicks the corner to the far post with his head and Petersen arrives to power it into the net! Neuer claws it out, making a second fantastic stop to send the ball over the crossbar, but Petersen's goal stands!
L. Höler
R. Sallai
Freiburg
63' Holer is Freiburg's last player to come on, replacing Sallai. Streich hasn't given up on a Freiburg equaliser yet.
N. Petersen
E. Demirović
Freiburg
63' Petersen replaces the quiet Demirovic up front next.
L. Tempelmann
L. Kübler
Freiburg
63' Tempelmann replaces Kubler first, presumably to prevent him getting injured too.
60' Hofler finds Gunter down the left twice in succession, persuading Davies to give Freiburg a corner with the second cross. The visitors will make a few more substitutions. Thankfully for Freiburg these ones are of their own volition.
58' How is it not 2-0 Bayern?! Lewandowski rattles the crossbar from close range then Florian Muller keeps Goretzka's follow-up shot at bay with a leap to his right! Freiburg manage to deal with the resulting corner but they're clinging on for now.
57' Sane has moved over to the left. The German finds a pocket of space and whips the ball towards the far post. It's inches wide from dropping into the bottom corner. It'll be a Bayern corner instead.
J. Haberer
A. Abrashi
Freiburg
54' Haberer comes on for Freiburg to give Hofler his third midfield partner of the match. Let's see if Haberer lasts until the end of the game.
53' Freiburg's substitute midfielder Abrashi will himself need to be substituted. He needs help to hobble off the pitch. It seems like he's jarred his ankle.
52' Muller can't unlock the Freiburg door and Kubler looks to scamper forward. The right wing-back is quickly crowded out by two Bayern defenders. Now Abrashi is down with a knock after a coming together with Muller. The Albanian looks to be in some pain.
50' Kimmich's curling cross from deep is headed away and Lewandowski's shot from the left of the box goes wide. As long as Freiburg can keep the score to 1-0, they have a chance.
48' Freiburg keep up the pressure on Bayern with Abrashi bringing down Lewandowski in the centre of the pitch. Muller ventures into the box and slips at a crucial time when trying to hand Sane a free shot.
R. Sallai
Yellow Card
Freiburg
46' Sallai picks up a quick yellow card for a rash challenge on Davies in Bayern's half.
45' Freiburg get the game restarted. No further changes by either side at half-time.
Bayern had 13 shots in that first half but only three were on target. Freiburg's only shot on target was Sallai's meek header straight at Neuer. Freiburg are in a tricky position now as they need to get forward but they've looked most vulnerable to Bayern's pace on the counter. How will Streich and his players approach the second half?
Lewandowski's smartly taken goal is the difference between Bayern and Freiburg so far. Bayern have dominated in terms of shots but Freiburg have managed to restrict the quality of Bayern's chances for the most part. Freiburg need to attack more in the second half though.
45' + 2' HALF-TIME: BAYERN MUNICH 1-0 FREIBURG
45' + 2' Kimmich's corner finds Goretzka who balloons high and wide from the left of the box. That'll be all for now.
45' + 1' Freiburg get caught upfield and Sane races towards goal with Abrashi sliding in to block his pass for Lewandowski. It ends up bouncing to the forward anyway and Gulde gets there in time to hand Bayern a corner to end the half.
45' There'll be two minutes added onto the end of this first half.
44' Bayern huff and puff as Kimmich's sliderule pass is blocked. Pavard finds space to hook a cross in but it's nothing to worry Florian Muller.
42' Coman looks to slide Sane into the box but Freiburg stay alert and intercept. The visitors will believe they can turn this around if they go in just the one goal down.
40' Hofler shows some fancy footwork in midfield to keep Freiburg moving. Gunter eventually crosses low from the left and Demirovic can't keep his shot down at the near post.
38' Sallai nods an distinctly unthreatening header into the arms of Neuer from Kubler's cross. That's Freiburg's first shot on target. The visitors haven't been able to create much so far.
36' The corner comes in and Coman's shot is blocked. Freiburg clear Bayern's latest corner. Thomas Muller drifts wide left and swings in a delicious far post cross that Kimmich busts a gut trying to reach. The midfielder can't get there. It might have been a tap-in if he had.
34' Hofler wins the ball for Freiburg for the first time in a while but wastes it by lumping forward for Demirovic, giving Bayern an easy clearance. Bayern go up the other end and get a corner as Lienhart blocks a cross.
32' Boateng is the next Bayern player to have a pop from way out. It ends equally fruitlessly as his teammates' previous attempts as Lewandowski is unable to latch onto it. Bayern are racking up the shots on goal though.
30' Goretzka blazes high and wide, then Sane introduces himself to the game by firingwide from outside the box. Freiburg look OK when they've got everyone back but they keep losing the ball going forward and getting caught out by Bayern in transition.
L. Sané
S. Gnabry
Bayern München
29' Sane trots onto the pitch to replace the stricken Gnabry. Gnabry is able to walk off unaided which is a good sign.
28' Bayern's latest corner is cleared. It looks like Gnabry isn't able to continue either. Bayern are preparing Sane. That's one injury-related change for both teams already.
26' Bayern's corner doesn't come to much but the hosts are getting back on top, winning another corner. Gnabry landed awkwardly after that shot and leaves the pitch briefly to walk the niggle off before Bayern take it.
24' Alaba strides forward from centre-back but, finding himself short of options, resorts to passing backwards. Bayern rebuild and Gnabry smashes a left-footer towards goal from range. It takes a mighty deflection but Florian Muller manages to pull off an instinctive save to keep it out!
23' Bayern pop the ball around on the edge of Freiburg's area searching for an opening. Freiburg are doing well to stay compact and limit Bayern's chances.
22' Grifo beats three Bayern players down the left and passes inside. Bayern soon get the ball back. There's a decent zip to this game at the moment.
20' Kubler places a nice one-two to get into Bayern's penalty area but he's tracked all the way and ends up running the ball out for a Bayern goal-kick.
18' Freiburg are growing into the game as they press Bayern in the hosts' own half and eventually win possession. Davies beats Sallai in the air to nod out for a throw-in down Freiburg's right.
16' Chance for Freiburg! Bayern don't entirely deal with a Freiburg ball in. Sallai arrives in the box and fires towards the bottom right corner, forcing Neuer to tip it aside for a corner. Bayern handle the corner admirably.
14' Kubler looks to find Demirovic in the penalty area but Alaba is well-placed to clear. Bayern go upfield and Gnabry fires into the side netting.
12' Coman floats a ball into the Freiburg box but the visitors manage to get it away. Freiburg haven't really had a chance to attack Bayern yet.
10' Bayern are piling forward at every opportunity. They want to rack up a comfortable lead early. Coman gets loose in the centre of the box and has a low shot blocked.
N. Höfler
Yellow Card
Freiburg
9' Hofler picks up an early yellow card for a poor challenge on Gnabry down Bayern's right. He can have no complaints.
8' Lewandowski's got five goals in four games against Freiburg now. That's his 21st goal in the first 16 games of this Bundesliga season now. Only the legendary Gerd Muller has started a season this phenomenally before.
T. Müller
Assist
Bayern München
8' It's a lovely assist for Thomas Muller, and a great start for Bayern. The hosts look in no mood to mess around after letting their lead slip last week against Monchengladbach.
R. Lewandowski
Goal
Bayern München
7' GOAL! BAYERN MUNICH 1-0 FREIBURG! Bayern catch Freiburg cold with Lewandowski slotting coolly into the bottom right corner from Thomas Muller's throughball. That didn't take long.
6' VAR takes a long look at whether there was a handball in the Freiburg box in the run-up to Kimmich's shot as Lewandowski's hooked shot hit a defender's arm. In the end the officials decide to let play continue.
A. Abrashi
B. Santamaría
Freiburg
5' Here's that enforced Freiburg substitution. Abrashi replaces Santamaria.
4' It's unclear what exactly is ailing Santamaria as he hobbled off the pitch but the French midfielder will be unable to continue. Freiburg are preparing a substitution.
3' Santamaria leaves the pitch for treatment, so Freiburg defend the corner with 10 men. The visitors manage to clear it. Bayern come straight back and Kimmich has a tame effort from range caught by Florian Muller.
2' Gnabry gets the first shot of the game, skipping inside and firing towards goal from distance. It deflects out for a corner off the outstretched leg of Hofler. Santamaria goes down injured after getting caught by Gnabry on the follow-through.
1' Bayern get this game underway!
The two sides are out on the pitch on a snowy day in Munich. Bayern are in their traditional all-red kit. Freiburg are wearing their chequered black away kit.
Bayern have a great record against Freiburg at home, going unbeaten in their 20 Bundesliga home games. In fact, Freiburg have won just one of their last 34 league games against the Bavarians, a 2-1 victory at Schwarzwald-Stadion back in May 2015. Freiburg are in great form though. Is it enough to change recent history?
Bayern make two changes from their defeat to Borussia Monchengladbach. Boateng returns at centre-back while Coman gets the nod ahead of Sane. Freiburg are unchanged from their victory over Cologne.
SUBS: Nils Petersen, Guus Til, Benjamin Uphoff, Lucas Holer, Woo-Yeong Jeong, Janik Haberer, Dominique Heintz, Amir Abrashi, Lino Tempelmann.
FREIBURG (3-4-3): Florian Muller; Philipp Lienhart, Keven Schlotterbeck, Manuel Gulde; Lukas Kubler, Baptiste Santamaria, Nicolas Hofler, Christian Gunter (c); Roland Sallai, Ermedin Demirovic, Vincenzo Grifo.
SUBS: Lucas Hernandez, Javi Martinez, Corentin Tolisso, Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting, Alexander Nubel, Niklas Sule, Jamal Musiala, Leroy Sane, Marc Roca.
BAYERN MUNICH (4-2-3-1): Manuel Neuer (c); Benjamin Pavard, Jerome Boateng, David Alaba, Alphonso Davies; Joshua Kimmich, Leon Goretzka; Kingsley Coman, Thomas Muller, Serge Gnabry; Robert Lewandowski.
Freiburg arrive in Munich on the back of a new club record of five straight league wins, following their 5-0 thrashing of Cologne. Freiburg are on track for their best goalscoring season since 1994-95 and have only had a better points total at this stage three times before. Bayern had better be careful facing Christian Streich's team.
Bayern will be keen to get back to winning ways after blowing a 2-0 lead to lose 3-2 to Borussia Monchengladbach last time out, their first such defeat since February 2011. With all their title rivals dropping points this weekend, a victory for Hans-Dieter Flick's side here would send them four points clear at the top of the table.
