Socceroos player ratings: Daniel Arzani steals the show as Australia draw with Denmark

The green and gold again impressed in Russia but didn't get the result they were after

The Socceroos pushed Denmark in Samara but were ultimately forced to settle for a 1-1 draw despite some strong individual performances.

After falling behind early, Australia pulled level through a Mile Jedinak penalty and looked the more likely of scoring in a second half that would end goalless.

From the skipper again stepping up to Daniel Arzani dazzling off the bench, the Socceroos largely performed as they kept their hopes of World Cup progression alive.

Check out Goal's ratings for every Australian player below.

  1. Maty Ryan

    Rating: 7/10

Relatively quiet game for him in goals.Helpless for Eriksen's goal and was alert to keep out a possible own goal.

  2. Josh Risdon

    Rating: 6/10

Grew into the game and made some timely interceptions but was beaten by the Danes once or twice.

  3. Mark Milligan

    Rating: 6/10

Did his job alongside Sainsbury. Didn't do much wrong and was a reliable outlet with the ball at his feet.

  4. Trent Sainsbury

    Rating: 7/10

Another commanding performance from Sainsbury at the back. Won nearly every aerial challenge and never looked overwhelmed by the Danish attack.

  5. Aziz Behich

    Rating: 7/10

Did his job defensively and burst forward dangerously a number of times. A real asset down the left.

  6. Aaron Mooy

    Rating: 8/10

Bossed the midfield and was another that grew into game. Rifled a shot just wide late in the game that could've given Australia the win.

    Mile Jedinak

    Rating: 8/10

Made no mistake with the penalty and put his weight around in midfield.

  8. Tom Rogic

    Rating: 8/10

Had a few quiet patches, but when he was on the ball looked a class above. Made a number of great runs and had a superb turn on the ball in the second half.

  9. Mathew Leckie

    Rating: 9/10

Never stopped running and never stopped threatening the Danish defence. Deserved a goal and came close on a number of occasions.

    Robbie Kruse

    Rating: 5/10

Got into some dangerous positions but lacked a killer touch.

  11. Andrew Nabbout

    Rating: 6/10

Another tireless performance but one that again lacked much impact. Very few touches, no shots, but never gave the Danish defence time on the ball.

    SUB - Tomi Juric

    Rating: 6/10

A few good moments on the ball, but couldn't have his own Tim Cahill moment.

  13. Getty

    SUB - Jackson Irvine

    Rating: N/A

Didn't have enough time to make an impact.

  14. SUB - Daniel Arzani

    Rating: 8/10

Played less than half an hour but still managed to steal the show. Very positive with the ball as he got a shot away, played a dangerous ball across goal and set Leckie up for a header.
