Aston Villa wideman Elmohamady previously represented both Sunderland and Hull City in the top tier since moving to the Stadium of Light from ENPPI in 2010, and has recently returned to the Premier League alongside Trezeguet.
A stalwart for each of his employers, winning over fans with his relentless work rate and prodigious energy down the right flank, and even if he's not a prolific goalscorer, he weighed in with goals for both the Black Cats and the Tigers.

A gamble for West Bromwich Albion in 2017 when they signed him from Al-Ahly initially on loan, having struggled to make his mark in Italian football.
However, despite the Baggies’ relegation, Hegazy won over supporters with his powerful, tenacious defensive displays, scoring two for the Throstles during the 2017-18 season.

One of the greatest African players ever to play in the Premier League, Salah struggled at Chelsea but was an instant success after joining Liverpool following a spell in the Italian game.
He won the Golden Boot, the PFA Player’s Player of the Year, FWA Footballer of the Year and PFA Fans’ Player of the Year awards while breaking records aplenty at Anfield, and then inspired the Reds to the Champions League title last term.

In total, he has scored 60 league goals to date for Liverpool.

Mohamed Salah

Like a few others on this list, Zaki’s star burned brightly—but briefly.
He once scored 10 goals in 16 games for Wigan Athletic, but later fell out with coach Steve Bruce, who labelled the Egyptian as the most unprofessional player he’d ever worked with.

He ultimately returned to SC Zamalek, with the goals having dried up, and was unable to recreate his early success during a later loan spell with Hull City.

The forward's highlight in England was scoring twice against Liverpool at Anfield. Few players can say they've achieved that!

Amr Zaki

Another player whose career in England started encouragingly—with some fine performances for Tottenham Hotspur—but which ultimately ended in acrimony.
His decision to throw his shirt on the ground in May 2007 after being substituted, 18 months into his time at the club, ultimately spelled the end of his time at Spurs, with fans jeering him—proving they hadn’t forgotten—when Harry Redknapp tried to reintegrate him to the fold in January 2009.

He missed the 2008 Africa Cup of Nations to join Derby County on loan in 2008, only to be relegated, having scored once for Spurs during the 2006-07 season.

Hossam Ghaly

A remarkable talent, with magnificent technique and excellent footwork, but he was never right for English football.
Perhaps he moved to Stoke City too early in his career, and he failed to make an impact at Huddersfield Town.

The winger is currently back on loan at Al-Ahly, and playing for Egypt at the U23 Africa Cup of Nations.

He scored twice for Stoke during the 2017-18 season, but a return of two goals in 45 outings is a miserable return.

Ramadan Sobhi

Represented five different clubs in England, having originally moved to Tottenham Hotspur on loan from AS Roma in 2005.
Mido started strongly, with a series of bold and physical displays, but injuries, a loss of form and disciplinary issues slowed his progress at White Hart Lane.

The powerful forward ultimately failed to recreate that early magic during stints with Middlesbrough, Wigan Athletic, West Ham United and Barnsley.

His most prolific campaign was in 2005-06, when he scored 11 Prem goals in 27 outings for Spurs, as, by contrast, he failed to score in nine outings for the Hammers during an underwhelming loan spell four years later.

The latest Egyptian to make his goalscoring mark in the Premier League, Trezeguet took nine matches to break his duck with Aston Villa after leaving Kasimpasa, but now has two goals in his last two matches.
To date, however, both of the wideman's goals have come in 2-1 defeats - by Liverpool and Wolverhampton Wanderers - and Dean Smith will be desperate for the Pharaohs international to begin to transform his final-third impact into points!
