Sanusi was given the license to bomb forward, at times resembling a wing-back, but the quality of his deliveries were rather unpredictable.The Porto left-back did set up Moffi’s second.

Zaidu Sanusi (6/10)

The Stoke City loanee scored a lovely free-kick to make it 5-0 on his return to the Super Eagles XI.While Etebo’s passing was erratic on occasion, he gave the pre-assist for Victor Osimhen’s second goal. Furthermore, the midfield man made some crucial interceptions throughout the game and occupied the defensive zone whenever Bassey pushed forward in the opening half.

Peter Etebo (8.5/10)

The Everton man counter-pressed satisfactorily and was able to find the right positions in space in the middle of the park.

Alex Iwobi (7.5/10)

The first half was a mixed bag but was unfortunate to not set up Osimhen earlier from a set-piece.The RB Leipzig loanee looked far more dangerous after the interlude, eventually setting up the Napoli frontman minutes into the second half and scoring his first Nigeria goal in the 64th minute.

Ademola Lookman (7/10)

A typical Simon game before his withdrawal just before the hour, assisting Osimhen’s first with a brilliant left-footed cross, going past his man with purpose but was also intermittently clumsy with the ball.The wide attacker scored in the opening half.

Moses Simon (7/10)

Showed purpose with an early long-range effort that made the Sao Tome and Principe goalkeeper work and his acceleration in the attacking third was striking.The Lorient marksman netted twice before his 70th-minute withdrawal.

Terem Moffi (8/10)

Osimhen may have been caught offside one time too many, but he still netted a staggering four times, hit the woodwork in the 88th minute and assisted Simon’s strike.The Napoli man chased lost causes and ran the channels consistently.

Victor Osimhen (8.5/10)

Replaced Aina before the hour and bombed forward late on.

Abdullahi Shehu (5/10)

Nigeria’s captain came on when Nigeria did not need to force the issue. Musa was involved in the move for Moffi’s second and Nigeria’s sixth and assisted Osimhen’s fourth.

Ahmed Musa (6/10)

Picked up some promising positions after replacing Moffi and had an effort on his weaker foot saved late on.

Umar Sadiq (5/10)

Was rather showy at times after replacing Lookman but he played a pin-point diagonal for Sadiq’s late chance.Won and scored and scored a late penalty to make it 10.

Balogun looked off the pace after replacing Bassey and a few lapses could have been punished on another day.
