Amakhosi’s January signing became an instant hit following the 34 minutes he was on the pitch on his debut

Christian Saile Basomboli got Kaizer Chiefs fans invading social media and showering him with praise.

The Congolese forward made his Amakhosi debut on Sunday in the 2-0 Premier Soccer League win over Royal AM at Peter Mokaba Stadium.

After he provided an assist for Ashley du Preez to score Chiefs’ second goal, Basomboli immediately became a darling of Chiefs fans and they drew comparisons between him and PSG star Kylian Mbappe.

Not long ago, Amakhosi fans were saying they had found an Erling Haaland in Bonfils-Caleb Bimenyimana and now, Basomboli is their Mbappe.
