The result means that K'Ogalo are now top in Group D with six points from three games while the Algerian side remain second on four

Gor Mahia left it late to score two goals against a ten-man Hussein Dey in a Caf Confederation Cup Group D match played on Sunday.

The Kenyan champions are now top of the Group after goals from Francis Kahata and Jaqcues Tuyisenge helped them to break down the resilient Algerian side, who came into the fixture sitting at the summit.

With Zamalek of Egypt dropping points again after a 1-1 draw against Petro Atletico of Angola, many Kenyans now believe that K’Ogalo have a chance to make it to the quarters of the competition for the first time in club’s history.

Goal parades the players, who played a huge role as the team won another Group match at home.

The Ugandan did well in both defense and attack; he was intelligent and knew what  to do and at what time. Forced the goalkeeper into a fine save before creating the first goal for the Kenyan Premier League champions.

  2. Goal Kenya.

    Philemon Otieno

Like Batambuze, Otieno was solid at the back and gave a helping hand in attack. Ensured no danger came from his department. In the 84th minute, he burst forward, delivered in a good ball into the box and colleagues capitalized on it to ensure Francis Kahata scored.

  3. Goal Kenya.

    Kenneth Muguna

The former KPL MVP has once again proved he is among the best in the top tier and the continent at large. Made vital tackles plus a number of several interceptions and created chances for his team.

  4. Goal Kenya.

    Francis Kahata

He once again played a vital role for his team in the 2-0 win. Managed to create chances for the Kenyan champions and his well taken strike helped Gor Mahia to take a deserved lead.

  5. Goal Kenya.

    Samuel Onyango

He was problematic for the defenders, caused every sort of restlessness for the visitors. Had several decent chances, but was unfortunate not to hit the back of the net.

  6. Goal Kenya.

    Jacques Tuyisenge

Three goals in as many group matches for the Rwandan striker. He is proving his worth for K’Ogalo. Capitalized on a long ball, kept his cool before shooting past the helpless Hussein Dey custodian.
