Premier League, FA Cup & Champions League

The Liverpool quartet of Senegalese Sadio Mane, Egyptian Mohamed Salah, Guinean Naby Keita & Joel Matip of Cameroon has the most at stake, given they are still in the race for the Premier League, FA Cup and Uefa Champions League titles.

They have an opportunity to win the first of those three in Saturday’s FA Cup final against Chelsea while hoping that Manchester City drop points to take advantage in the Premier League before the May 28 clash with Real Madrid.

Premier League

Algerian winger Riyad Mahrez has been in scintillating form and is Manchester City’s top scorer with 24 goals in all competitions.

However, City are yet to lift a trophy this season but could end that by winning the Premier League title if Pep Guardiola’s men hold onto their three-point lead over Liverpool until the end of the season in what will be Mahrez’s third title with City and fourth overall.

FA Cup

Senegal goalkeeper Edouard Mendy and Morocco winger Hakim Ziyech have already secured Champions League football for next season but have the FA Cup final to contest against Liverpool on Saturday.

After winning the Uefa Super Cup and Fifa Club World Cup earlier in the season, the two missed out on the Carabao Cup to Liverpool and have an opportunity to avenge the loss on Saturday.

Serie A

Ivory Coast international Franck Kessie, his Algeria midfield partner Ismael Bennacer and Senegalese defender Fode Ballo-Toure are locked in a tight Serie A title race with their AC Milan side holding a two-point lead over cross-town rivals Inter Milan with as many games remaining.

Kessie and Bennacer have been regulars for the Rossoneri who are out to win a first Scudetto in 11 years.

Europa League

Morocco midfielder Aymen Barkok and Mali defender Almamy Toure, both of Eintracht Frankfurt will take on Nigerian quartet Joseph Aribo, Calvin Bassey, Leon Balogun and Nnamdi Ofoborh as well as Zambia international Fashion Sakala, all of Rangers in the May 18 Europa League final.

Frankfurt have had an underwhelming Bundesliga season while Rangers lost their title to Celtic and this will be an opportunity to end the season with silverware while earning a direct ticket to next season’s Champions League.

Championship Playoffs

Nigerian Fred Onyedinma and Zambian Admiral Muskwe will line up for Luton Town when they face Huddersfield Town, who have Senegalese Naby Sarr on their books, for a place in the Championship final against either Sheffield United or Nottingham Forest.

Forest have Cameroon's Gaetan Bong and Brice Samba from Congo-Brazzaville to count on. Luton and Huddersfield face off on Friday while United take on Forest on Saturday.
