    Teslim Fatusi

Joined Sundowns with a glittering CV that not only saw him play for some of the continent's biggest clubs but also for the Nigeria national team.

His stay was less than successful and he eventually left for Europe in 2000.

  2. Gallo

    Ejike Uzoenyi

Sundowns' most recent Nigerian import, who joined the 2016 African champions amid much fanfare, only for his stay to be underwhelming.

The Nigeria international managed just eight appearances in all competitions before he was shipped out.

    Muri Ibrahim

A familiar face to Lobi Stars fans, but before he returned to his native homeland, the attacker spent a solitary season at Sundowns.

Ibrahim struggled to really solidify himself in the team and set sail for Lobi Stars thereafter where he eventually hung up his boots.

  4. Gallo

    Raphael Chukwu

The forward joined Mamelodi Sundowns in 1996 from Nigerian club Shooting Stars. Chukwu would go on to make a name for himself at the Tshwane giants and eventually earned a move to Italy with Bari.

However, that was not the end of Chukwu at Sundowns as he would later return for two separate stints, with his last being in 2005.

    Muisi Ajao

After just one season at Kaizer Chiefs, the defender packed his bags and moved to Tshwane in 1998.

He went on to be a rock at the back for Sundowns and eventually moved on in 2003.
