Zimbabwean goalkeeper Mkuruva joins Cape Town City

The Citizens have beefed up their squad with the signing of the Zimbabwean goalkeeper

Cape Town City have confirmed the signing of Tatenda Mkuruva.

It was highly speculated in the media that the 21-year old was on his way to South Africa, after refusing to renew his contract with Zimbabwean Premier Soccer  League (ZPSL) side Dynamos FC.

The Warriors international goalkeeper is seen as a rising star in Zimbabwe after his exploits with his national team at the recent 2017 African Cup of Nations (Afcon) finals in Gabon.

The Citizens took to social media to unveil their latest signing.

Mkuruva will now compete alongside veteran goalkeeper Shu-Aib Walters for the number one jersey in Eric Tinkler’s side.

The Premier Soccer League (PSL) new boys will be hoping that their latest acquisition will buoy the team on even further.

The Mother City-based club have been in a rich vein of form this season which currently sees them remain in PSL title contention.
