Pep Guardiola's men begin their title bid against Brighton & Hove Albion and have historically been fast starters

All that waiting, all that news, all those transfers: you can forget about it now. The Premier League is back.

Bigger, brasher and more competitive than ever, England's top divison has as many as six potential title candidates, none more widely tipped than big-spending Manchester City

Pep Guardiola's men have re-tooled in an enormous summer spending spree and begin their title charge against newly promoted Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday.

The EPL is back - the pressure is on!

The Premier League is back! Who will handle the pressure of the opening weekend?

Posted by on Friday, August 11, 2017

The Citizens have won their opening Premier League game in each of the last six seasons and Sergio Aguero has scored five opening-day goals.

Before them, Arsenal begin the season versus Leicester City, against whom they're unbeaten in 21 Premier League outings.

Further north, meanwhile, Tottenham will look to build on two brilliant seasons with a win against Newcastle United, back in the Premier League after a year away. Tantalisingly, the last three games between the sides have produced 14 goals.

But those aren't the only headline figures ahead of the opening weekend. Manchester United face Javier Hernandez and West Ham United on Sunday, against whom they haven't lost at home in nine Premier League outings.
