Uganda Cranes head coach Milutin 'Micho' Sredojević says he had initially planned to play an attacking game against Harambee Stars on Thursday afternoon.

The Kenyans went ahead in the first-half through Michael Olunga before the visitors equalized late into match through Moses Waiswa. ‘Micho’ has also revealed the 'never die attitude' that saw his side bounce back.

"Our plan was to play a flawless counter attacking football, but it did not work as they (Kenyans), dominated especially in the first half. They were attacking from all corners and we were fortunate not to concede more goals. We definitely had to change our game plan.

"Even when we were down, I continued encouraging my players not to give up, and we finally got an equalizer," he told Goal.

The two teams played to a barren draw last year at Namboole Stadium in Kampala, Uganda.
