Western Stima ace targeting Harambee Stars' call up

Western Stima defender Wesley Onguso is targeting a national team call up this season.

The full back was part of the SportPesa All Stars team which lost 2-1 to a Hull City development side on Monday. He says it is definitely not a walk in the park, but he believes he has what it takes to be successful with the national soccer team Harambee Stars.

"It was a good match (against Hull City), we did our best, but were quite unfortunate to lose the match. The most important thing is that we went there and took the positives from the match. We have learnt a lot and that has given us the morale to continue working hard.

"My target now is to work hard in a bid to earn a call-up to the national team, where I think I can show the world my ability. It is definitely not going to be easy but I will work hard for it and ensure I consistently get a call up," he told Goal.

Onguso will be lining up for the power men this season with hopes of finishing within the best three teams at the end of the year.
