The Porcupine Warriors are ready to face their Congolese counterparts squarely in the Caf Confed Cup showdown, according to coach Polack

Asante Kotoko will be firing on all cylinders when they play away to Congolese side CARA Brazzaville in the Caf Confederation Cup preliminary round second leg on Wednesday.

The Porcupine Warriors are set for a stern test at Stade Alphonse Massemba-Debat as they hold only a slim advantage from the first leg which ended 1-0 in favour of the home side.

Kotoko's advantage could have been bigger had they converted three spot-kicks spurned at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

“What happened in Kumasi must not repeat itself. We have corrected our mistakes in all aspects especially the art of taking and scoring penalties," Porcupine Warriors coach Steven Polack has assured.

“It was a good thing we won the first leg.

"Now we know who our opponents are and what they can do; that makes it easier to plan, unlike the first leg.

"We are not taking chances.

"We are going all out on Wednesday to make sure that we gain qualification to the next stage of the competition."

But Kotoko's three missed efforts were not the only penalties awarded in the first leg as the Porcupine Warriors' only goal came from the spot - their fourth of the day - while CARA missed a penalty of their own.

The winner on aggregate will progress to the next round where Tunisian side US Ben Guerdane await.

Kotoko qualified for the Confederation Cup as champions of the 2017 Ghana FA Cup
