The left-back is set to start when Gor Mahia takes on Posta Rangers in FKF Shield round of 16

Gor Mahia defender Wellingtone Ochieng is set to return to the squad after missing out of action for the last five months due to injury.

Ochieng fractured his knee while turning out for K’Ogalo in the 2-0 win over Bandari at Machakos Stadium on March 3.

But the left-back is set to start when Gor Mahia takes on Posta Rangers in FKF Shield round of 16 at Kasarani Stadium on Wednesday.

“Wellingtone is now fully recovered and fit to start a match. He has worked hard to return after that injury and I want to thank him for his patience. He will definitely start against Posta Rangers in FKF Shield Cup on Wednesday,’ Gor Mahia coach Dylan Kerr confirmed to Goal.

This will come as good news to Kerr, who is expected to jet out to Tanzania ahead of Caf Confederation Cup return leg against Yanga SC.
