Uruguay v France Betting Tips: Oppose Les Bleus in a 20/1 stats-based dabble of the day

Our tipster has put together a 20/1 (21.0) pick made up of four selections from the first World Cup quarter-final clash in Nizhny Novgorod

France are Even money (2.0) favourites to get the better of Uruguay in normal time when the pair meet in the World Cup quarter finals.

While Les Bleus showed some impressive attacking intent against a disjointed Argentina side in the last 16, their next South American opponents should offer much stiffer resistance.

Opposing a France win in normal time is the basis for a 20/1 (21.0) dabble of the day selection ahead of this blockbuster clash in Nizhny Novogrod.

dabble of the day: Uruguay/Draw (Double Chance), both teams to score, Kylian Mbappe and Luis Suarez to score anytime. Back it here.

The European side have never won a head-to-head meeting between the pair although the most recent clash came back in 2013.

Despite that, Uruguay's impressive defensive record in Russia so far means backing Oscar Tabarez's men in some way makes plenty of appeal given their price.

Especially as La Celeste thrive when not expected to dictate the match, as evident in their 3-0 victory over Russia to top Group A unlike the pedestrian 1-0 wins in gameweeks one and two.

The only goal Tabarez's men conceded was against Portugal in the last 16, however the pace of Kylian Mbappe is likely to prove the biggest threat to date. The 19-year-old's display in the previous game was devastating and another goal could be on the cards here.

Diego Godin and Jose Giminez are better equipped than their Argentine counterparts to deal with the Paris Saint-German forward but such raw power is likely to test them more than anything else on show in the French line-up.

While Uruguay may not be able to keep out the Euro 2016 finalists, the underdogs do have plenty of teeth of their own in the final third.

Luis Suarez and Edinson Cavani have notched five goals between them and even if the latter misses the game through injury, the Barcelona forward's record of 53 goals in 102 appearances for the national side is very impressive. Including the 31-year-old to score anytime looks a solid option with the doubts over the participation of his strike partner.

Against a French defence that leaked three times to Argentina, Uruguay should be able to get themselves on the scoresheet at least once and land the both teams to score element of this selection.

At 20/1 (21.0) this dabble of the day looks an interesting long shot for those looking for bigger potential returns in what could be a much more even game than the current prices suggest.
