Two goals, two assists & two missed pens - Salah has day to remember for Egypt

It's not often that a player scores twice and adds two assists in a 6-0 win and walks out having left plenty on the table, but that's just what happened to Mohamed Salah on Saturday.

Just one minute into Egypt's African Cup of Nations qualifying match against Niger, the Liverpool man had a penalty saved.

He atoned soon after, setting up Marwan Mohsen for Egypt's opener, with Egypt adding a second through Ayman Ashraf.

Salah found himself at the penalty spot again near the half-hour mark, but was once again denied by Niger goalkeeper Daouda Kassaly.

This time though, the Liverpool man tapped home the rebound to give the Pharaohs a comfortable 3-0 lead.

Egypt's fourth of the night saw Salah set up Salah Mohsen, with the 26-year-old scoring with his head to make it 5-0 on the night.

Arsenal's Mohamed Elneny netted the final goal of the night as Egypt cruised, opening the Mario Aguirre era in style.
