'Totally unwise to bet against Juventus' - Oliseh raves about former club after Manchester United win

Former Nigeria coach Sunday Oliseh has praised his former club Juventus for their 'completely solid' performance after defeating Manchester United 1-0 in Tuesday's Uefa Champions League tie.

And the 44-year-old who played for the Old Lady during the 1999-2000 season has tipped them as favourites to win the elite European competition with special praise for midfield duo Blaise Matuidi and Miralem Pjanic.

"Totally unwise to bet against C. Ronaldo and Juventus in this Champions League," Oliseh tweeted.

"Just simply, completely solid and full of creativity. 3 games played, 2 away but 9 full points.

"Blaise Matuidi and Miralem Pjanic were just outstanding!"

After league meetings against Empoli and Cagliari, Juventus will host Manchester United at the Allianz Stadium for the return fixture on November 7.
