FA Cup final: Syahmi hoping for a new beginning for Selangor

Selangor's Syahmi Safari is raring to turn out for his first ever senior cup final, when they take on Pahang in the FA Cup final on Saturday.

Selangor's young player Syahmi Safari is raring to turn out for the club, in their FA Cup final match against Pahang on Saturday.

When met by Goal just before training with the Red Giants at the match venue the Bukit Jalil National Stadium on Friday, the Malaysia U-23 international voiced out his eagerness to play in his first ever senior cup final.

"Yes, this would be my first senior cup final. I can't wait for Saturday, I want to help the team win. If we all give our best, then god willing, it will be our year

"Praise Allah, we can say this is a new beginning for the club. We look forward to the final, and to improving," said the 20-year old.

Syahmi is likely to start on Saturday, having started in the Red Giants' last three matches as a midfielder.
