John Baraza will have a perfect opportunity to avenge a lose against Tusker when Sofapaka faces off with the Brewers in  FKF Shield quarter-final match at Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos on Sunday.

The tie comes exactly a month after Tusker edged out Sofapaka 2-1 in a league match in Ruaraka.

Baraza, who worked under Robert Matano as a player, was saved by the heavy downpour that rendered the pitch unplayable and the former international could not go past his former teacher when Batoto Ba Mungu fell to Tusker in a match that left several players nursing injuries.

Baraza is going to the games after edging Posta Rangers 1-0 in the league last week.

While Matano has termed the fixtures as ‘any other game’, Baraza will be going for revenge.

“If we beat them at their own backyard I fail to see why we cannot replicate the same in the knockout tournament. The players are psyched up for the match and all I want is for each one of them to play their part,” Baraza told Sofapakafc.co.ke.
