Sofapaka FC captain Stephen Waruru is delighted with how his team is preparing for the new season.
Batoto ba Mungu have done several top notch signings with the main objective being the 2018/19 league trophy. Waruru has been quoted by the club’s official portal saying everyone is working hard in the pre-season, hoping to improve before the season starts.
“So far so good. Everyone is working hard in training and you can see from the players that they really want to get fit and ready for the new campaign. The new players have definitely added some strength into the team and now the depth is more. We are going into a very tough compressed season and for you to compete, you need enough dept.”
After winning the league under coach Robert Matano in 2009, the team has struggled to get the better of dominant Gor Mahia and Tusker. However, under coach Melis Medo, the team hopes to do better this season and claim their second league title.
