Sony Sugar coach Salim Babu has ‘stepped aside’ following a string of poor performance.

Babu has opted to stay away from the team’s league match against Kariobangi Sharks on Sunday.

Sony Sugar team manager, Emmanuel Geno has revealed to Goal that it was a personal decision taken by the coach to stay away from the team.

“He (Babu) asked to step aside. We are still looking around on who will take charge of the team. We have not decided yet.” Geno told Goal.

Sony have gone for five matches without a win having picked only two victories in nine matches.

Sony kicked-off the season with a 1-0 defeat to newcomers, Wazito FC before picking two successive victories against Ulinzi Stars and Zoo FC on February 18.

But the Millers' latest predicament came after they suffered a 1-0 defeat to Nzoia Sugar at Sudi Stadium last Wednesday.
