SELANGOR

Khairul Azhan Khalid - 7/10

The goalkeeper was not troubled often by PKNS attackers, but put in a good shift to ensure Selangor got their fourth clean sheet of the season, and himself his second.

Amirul Ashraf Ariffin - 6/10

The young defender showed improvement down the right wing, and grew in confidence to go join the attack after his team was leading.

Alfonso de la Cruz - 7/10

The Spanish centre back did little wrong in the match, and kept PKNS target man Rafael Ramazotti at bay.

Willian Pacheco - 7/10

The Brazilian centre back commanded his defence line well throughout the match.

Kannan Kalaiselvan - 7/10

The left back performed well to protect his flank throughout the match and mark Singapore international Faris Ramli out of the game.

Saiful Ridzuwan Selamat - 7/10

Saiful was the only man playing a defensive midfielder role for Selangor in the match, but he was able to do it almost single-handedly. However, a needless challenge early in the match earned him a booking.

Amri Yahyah - 7/10

The veteran skipper, playing as a midfielder in the match, was the maestro of Selangor's attack throughout the match.

Syahmi Safari - 7/10

Combined well with Amri in central midfield to support the Red Giants forwards.

Kugan Dhevarajan - 8/10

The forward offered ample support for hat-trick hero Rufino Segovia, and provided two assists in the encounter.

Rufino Segovia - 9/10 (Man of the Match)

Rufino Segovia, SelangorSelangor FA

The Spanish striker scored three goals in the match, forced a PKNS own goal through another effort, AND still missed two open chances. That's how good he was.

Ilham Armaiyn - 7/10

The Indonesian forward showed a much improved performance, drawing PKNS left back Nik Shahrul Azim closer to him and the left touchline to open up space for his attacking midfielder teammates to exploit. His long pass assisted Rufino's second goal.

Substitutions :

Halim Zainal, Azamuddin Akil, Razman Roslan - N/A

All three of Selangor's changes were made late in the match.

PKNS FC

Tauffiq Ar Rasyid Johar - 4/10

The custodian could do little to keep out the hosts and Rufino's four goals.

Nik Shahrul Azim - 4/10

The right back was troubled by Selangor's Ilham throughout the match.

Rodney Akwensivie - 4/10

The young centre back was out of his depth squaring off against the in-form Rufino, and was second best in the match.

Azmizi Azmi - 3/10

In the post-match press conference, head coach Datuk K. Rajagobal blamed his defenders for the thrashing they received, and as the older and more experienced of the two PKNS centre backs, Azmizi should have done a lot better to marshall his defence.

Gunalan Padathan - 4/10

Another player who failed to use his experience in the PKNS side was 36-year old left back Gunalan, who was thoroughly outplayed by the 21-year old Selangor forward Kugan.

Daniel Ting - 5/10

The midfielder was able to ensure that the ball got to his attackers, but could not do much more on a night they were misfiring.

Romel Morales - 5/10

The Colombian midfielder should have done more to assist the Red Ants' under-performing strikers.

Bruno Matos - 5/10

Much was hoped from the Brazilian midfielder, especially when he had bagged a brace in their mid-week league match earlier in the week, but the new signing disappeared from the match.

Faris Ramli - 4/10

The Singapore international's form showed no sign of improving, with the winger failing to provide his side with more attacking options through his runs.

Jafri Firdaus Chew - 4/10

The young striker made very little contribution to PKNS, and was taken off for Safee Sali at the start of the second half.

Rafael Ramazotti - 4/10

The Brazilian striker barely threatened the Selangor danger area, and had trouble getting past the hosts' two foreign centre backs.

Substitutions:

Safee Sali - 5/10

The veteran striker came on at halftime, but even then it was a case of too little, too late as they were already trailing 3-0.

Mahali Jasuli - 5/10

The defender came on in the 58th minute for Gunalan, but could not help PKNS avoid conceding their fourth goal, and was unable to help them pull one back.

Shahrul Azhar Ture - 5/10

Brought on as Faris' replacement after the hosts had already dialled down on their attacking intent.
